Jointly owned with Consolidated Edison Development, the 70-megawatt (MW) Alpaugh solar site was completed in 2012. Comprised of two phases of development, a 50-MW and 20-MW phase, the facility is one of Sempra Renewables’ operational solar plants in Central California. Located in Tulare County, Alpaugh generates enough renewable electricity to power about 27,000 California homes. The power output from the facility is sold under long-term contracts to Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E).
