President, Sempra Renewables
Kevin Sagara is president of Sempra Renewables, overseeing all aspects of the company’s renewable energy business segment, including development, acquisitions, finance, construction and operations.
Sagara has served in various commercial and legal capacities at Sempra Energy for more than 20 years. Sagara has also held senior business and legal positions in the internet and wireless technology sectors and oversaw the sale of Intervu (NASDAQ: ITVU) to Akamai Technologies for over $2.8 billion.
Sagara holds a bachelor’s degree in geography-ecosystems from the University of California, Los Angeles and a law degree from Hastings College of Law, where he served as note editor of the Hastings Law Journal. He currently serves on the Advisory Board for the Luskin School of Public Affairs at UCLA and is a member of the Board of Trustees of Hubbs-Seaworld Research Institute.
Regional Vice President, Renewables Development
Larry Folks is regional vice president of renewables development at Sempra Renewables, where he is responsible for directing development, acquisitions, partnerships and financing for the company’s wind and solar projects.
Folks has more than 25 years of experience in the power generation industry. Prior to joining Sempra, Folks was chief development officer and senior vice president at BP Wind Energy, where he oversaw the development, partnerships and financing for 1,600 megawatts (MW) of wind projects.
Folks received a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern California.
Vice President, Business Development and Structuring
Glen Donovan is vice president of business development at Sempra Renewables, responsible for renewable project finance, mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Donovan was responsible for renewable contract origination.
Donovan has held several corporate finance roles within Sempra Energy, including director of investor relations and overseeing the company’s planning & analysis function. Prior to joining Sempra Energy, Donovan held various financial roles within the high-tech industry.
Donovan received a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Connecticut and a master’s degree in business administration-finance from San Diego State University.
Sempra Infrastructure, LLC
Senior Vice President, Services and Gas Operations
Mike Gallagher is senior vice president of services and gas operations at Sempra Infrastructure, overseeing information technology, procurement and natural gas operations. Most recently, Gallagher was senior vice president and president of natural gas at Sempra U.S. Gas & Power, leading the company’s commercial development, origination, operations and project development.
Gallagher has served in various functions across the Sempra Energy family of companies and has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry. He was senior vice president at Southern California Gas Company—the nation’s largest gas utility—in charge of engineering, transmission, storage and distribution facilities; and also managed Sempra Generation’s fleet of gas-fueled and renewable power plants. Prior to joining Sempra, Gallagher was a partner at Sterling Energy Operations and worked 11 years with Duke Energy’s nuclear power plants and non-utility assets.
Vice President and General Counsel
Robert Borthwick is vice president and general counsel at Sempra Infrastructure, where he leads the company’s legal, environmental, health & safety, regulatory, human resources and external affairs groups. Previously, Borthwick was vice president and general counsel for Sempra U.S. Gas & Power, and before that, served as associate general counsel at Sempra Energy.
Borthwick has more than 25 years of experience as a lawyer. Prior to joining Sempra Energy, he practiced law at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP and served as a federal prosecutor in the United States Attorney’s Office in Los Angeles.
Borthwick received his undergraduate degree from Stanford University and his law degree from the University of Michigan Law School.
Vice President, Infrastructure and Technology
Patrick T. Lee is vice president of infrastructure and technology at Sempra Infrastructure, LLC, a subsidiary of Sempra Energy. Lee now leads PXiSE Energy Solutions, LLC, which is developing high-speed advanced grid control technology to meet the evolving needs of the modern energy ecosystem.
Prior to his current role, Lee held various positions within the Sempra Energy family of companies starting in 1991 as an engineer, and progressing to various director to senior level vice president positions. His duties have included oversight and governance for large construction projects, operations, maintenance, procurement, performance management, innovation and business strategy.
Before starting at the Sempra Energy family of companies, Lee worked for the Sacramento Municipal Utility District and the City of Roseville, Calif. Lee is a council member of the California Council on Science and Technology and an advisory trustee for the California State Parks Foundation. He is the treasurer and finance committee chair of the IEEE Smart Village and serves on the council of advisors for the Jacobs School of Engineering at the University of California, San Diego.
Lee graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from San Diego State University and holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering from California State University, Sacramento. He also is a registered professional electrical engineer in California.
Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Peter Wall is vice president and chief financial officer at Sempra Infrastructure, leading the accounting, finance and risk & structuring groups at Sempra Renewables and Sempra LNG & Midstream. Prior to his current position, he was vice president and chief financial officer for Sempra U.S. Gas & Power.
Wall served as assistant corporate controller at Sempra Energy, where he led various teams overseeing technical accounting, planning and corporate accounting functions.
Wall began his professional career at Ernst & Young LLP, where he worked with numerous multinational companies, including many in the power & utility sector. Wall is a certified public accountant and holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Utah.
Managing Director, Operations Center
Reuben Rosen is managing director – Operations Center for Sempra Infrastructure. In this role, Rosen is responsible for leading Sempra Infrastructure’s asset portfolio trading team, which includes power and gas trading and logistics supporting Sempra Renewables and Sempra LNG & Midstream.
Previously, Rosen was head of risk and structuring for the Operations Center and served as an attorney leading significant project development, finance and merger and acquisition transactions across the Sempra Energy family of companies. Prior to joining Sempra, Rosen was an attorney with Latham & Watkins.
Rosen holds a law degree from Yale Law School, a master’s degree from Stanford University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, San Diego, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and was admitted to Phi Beta Kappa. He is a member of the California Bar.
