Mesquite Solar 2 is the second phase of the landmark Mesquite Solar complex in Tonopah, Arizona, one of the largest photovoltaic (PV) solar facilities in the country.
Construction activities on the 100-megawatt (MW) expansion project began in fall 2015. The project created hundreds of construction jobs, part of a multi-phase expansion that employed about 800 workers at peak. The solar plant was completed by year-end 2016. It produces enough electricity to power about 44,500 California homes.
